2強共に不発~ヴィクトリアマイル(牝馬･G1)東京芝1600m
日曜東京メイン、ヴィクトリアマイルは12番人気コイウタが制し、春の女王の座に着いた｡
レースは、積極的に行きたい馬もなく、アサヒライジングが好スタートからすんなりハナに立ち、すぐに隊列が決まった。 そのまま直線に入り、逃げ粘るアサヒライジングに先行集団が襲い掛かり、内を突いてコイウタが抜け出し、 やや外目からデアリングハートが並びかけたところがゴール。
縦長の展開になったが､600m通過が34.8。この日はやや時計が出る馬場になっており、決して速いペースではなかった。 レースの上がりは34,3で12頭が上がり33秒台。先行争いが激しくならずテンがやや弛んだことで、 結果的に後傾ラップとなり先行馬に流れが向いた｡追い込み勢は全滅｡ 2強と思われた1番人気カワカミプリンセスと2番人気スイープトウショウはそれぞれ10着、9着と全くいいところがなかった。
勝ったコイウタは3歳時に同コースでクイーンカップを勝っているマイル巧者(そのときの2着もアサヒライジング)。 前走はダービー卿CT2着。3着デアリングハートが同レース6着だった｡やはり牡牝混合重賞組＞牝馬S組は今年も崩れなかった。 来年まで覚えておきたい｡
2着アサヒライジングは近走不振だったとはいえG1で常に接戦を演じていた実績馬。力からすればこの結果は十分予想できた｡(無印･･･ )
